I’m a student who has read through chapter 8 so far. I like the collection of equations in the appendix, and the detailed table of contents has been helpful. However, I find that the text has way too many footnotes, some sections can be difficult to understand (and what was the whole chatty section with Robinson Crusoe doing in there? the level is uneven), and even though I’ve visited the publisher’s website a few times, I’ve yet to find some of the pages mentioned (by topic, not by URL) in the text. How about giving a URL? While the author has clearly made an effort to include very current material in the book which does make for interesting reading, for an introduction to Financial Mgt, I’d prefer a less expensive book containing information that won’t seem dated in a couple years.

It’s a VERY tough course and it makes it hard to do the homework without any hints whatsoever (i.e. answers to odd questions). I was lucky enough to be able to get ALL the answers to every question at the end of each chapter WITH detailed descriptions though. Once you have these solutions, I gladly would rate the product five stars.

I had an earlier version of this book and found it very informative and relatively easy to understand.
